The River Rother Raft Race is an event that is fun, challenging and most of all a really good family day out! Set in the charming village of Midhurst, West Sussex, the race winds and meanders down the River Rother and through the countryside of the Cowdray family estate and beyond.
The Race is set over a 3 and ¾ mile stretch of the River Rother encompassing some peaceful quiet waters as well as mini rapids and the obstacle that separates the wheat from the chaff and leaves the true challengers to battle it out ”the Fish Ladder”. Many a competitor has felt the wrath of this beast and has been left in barrel heaven!!
The race is now in its 30th year and still going strong and helping raise money for much needed charities. This year with your help we have chosen to support a local charity called Dreams Come True (link) that help children with terminal or long term illnesses have their dream.
So why not enter a Raft or a Canoe or Kayak and into this years race and see if you have what it takes to take on the Rother and its many challenges.

This year see a new and exciting edition to the race. We have opened the event to Canoes and Kayaks. There will be 2 categories available to enter and new trophies for those daring enough to give it a go. As this is our first year there will be every possibility that you will be able to notch up a course record and hold it for 12 months so what are you waiting for? |
